- Welcome to the web site of the Optimist Club of Prince Albert, Prince Albert,
Saskatchewan, Canada.
- We are in the AMS&NW (Alberta, Montana, Saskatchewan & Northern Wyoming)
District, one of a handful of truly International Districts.
- Our Zone 7
(Northern Saskatchewan) has clubs from Lloydminister, Saskatoon & Prince Albert.

- To develop optimism as a way of life utilizing the tenets of the Optimist
Creed

- Meeting the needs of young people in communities
worldwide, Optimist Clubs have been "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" since 1919.
- Optimist Clubs conduct positive service projects aimed at providing a helping
hand to youth.
- Club Members are best known in their communities for their upbeat
attitudes.
- By believing in young people and empowering them to be the best they
can, Optimist volunteers continually make this world a better place to live.
- There are 105,000 individual Members who belong to more than 3,200 autonomous
Clubs.
- Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects each year, serving six million
young people.
- Optimists also spend $78 million on their communities annually
- Our Club ...
- In 1961, members of the Optimist Club of Saskatoon came to Prince Albert and
formed what is now known as the Prince Albert Optimist Club.
- Members from the
club have served numerous district positions, from Lieutenant Governor to
Governor to District Chairman. Past International Vice President Optimist Kris Eggum (our only remaining charter member) is a life member of our club, and is
still very active at the club level.

- Every Tuesday from September to June at our supper meetings at 7 p.m. in the
Optimist Centre (under the Grandstand on the PA Exhibition Grounds).
