Snoezelen Room Donation Fundraiser
Due to COVID-19, many of our fundraisers have been cancelled. Our Fall Gala was going to raise funds for improvements at the Snoezelen Room at Ecole Vickers.
The Snoezelen Room is a sensory room is a special room designed to develop a person's sense, usually through special lighting, music, and objects. It can be used as a therapy for children with limited communication skills.
Our club has a proud history of funding Snoezelen Room at Ecole Vickers and Carlton Comprehensive High School. Starting in 2001, with a $5,000 donation to the Vickers Snoezelen Room, along with McDonalds ($25,000), for the first room in Prince Albert, SK. 2007 we donated $5,000 to the aquatic Snoezelen Room at Vickers, and in 2014 we donated $10,000 to the Carlton Snoezelen Room.
The Ecole Vickers Snoezelen Room is in need of a major upgrade of $50,000.
So please help our Optimist Club help the youth of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada and area, by donating cash (can get a tax receipt from the Canadian Children's Optimist Foundation).
